Abstract Tower - Oregon - Pseudotsuga menziesii
The 'Tower' was designed with many holes and tapers surrounding each cavity as well as curved shapes to highlight and enhance the Oregon's different and natural contrasting coloured growth rings. The base was torched with a butane gas flame to give a burnt look and a contrasting colour. The two pieces were polished with Danish oil and then joined with four dowels.
